Rental Properties

A lot of people are surprised to learn that a Realtor can assist you with finding a home to rent.

Searching For A Rental Home

The typical rental home search involves reading classified ads and thumbing through large apartment guide books. This can be a long, time-consuming and frustrating process. Remember, printed ads may have been written days or even weeks before they are published. By the time you read the ad, the rental property may have already been leased.

A Realtor has real-time access to the MLS, which lists rental properties in addition to homes that are for sale. Individual homeowners who are trying to rent their properties may not have the budget to advertise in large guide books, so some of the best deals available may not even appear in printed guide books.

Who Pays?

In most cases, the Realtor’s fee is paid by the landlord/owner/property manager. You as the renter, don’t pay for the services of a Realtor to find a rental home for you.

The process is simple. Just tell me what you are looking for; number of bedrooms, location, maximum monthly rent, pets/no pets, etc. We can get very specific, down to the style (single-family home, townhouse or condo), square footage and the exact part of town you want to live in.

Please keep in mind, although the landlord typically pays my fee, there may be an application fee requested by the landlord. I will be able to tell you the application fee (if any) before we view the property.
